In a 2013 blog post, Simon compared the programs of the National Security Agency that had been uncovered by Edward Snowden, including PRISM, to a 1980s effort by the City of Baltimore to add dialed number recorders to all pay phones to know which individuals were being called by the callers;[83] the city believed that drug traffickers were using pay phones and pagers, and a municipal judge allowed the city to place the recorders. The placement of the dialers formed the basis of The Wire's first season. Simon argued that the media attention regarding the NSA programs is a "faux scandal."[83][84]
David Simon @AoDespair 2 Dec 2015:
(Both are a bit drunk)
McNulty(M): You know why I respect you so much, Bunk?
Bunk(B): Eh?
M: It's not cause you're a good police. Cause you know, fuck that, right?
B: Fuck that, yeah.
M: It's not cause when I came to Homicide, you taught me all kinds cool shit about... I don't know, whatever.
B: En, whatever.
M: (seemingly seriously) It's cause when it came time when you to fuck me...
B: (being curious)
M: You were very gentle.
B: (seriously) You're damn right.
M: See, cause you could have hauled me out of the garage...(Po主已经⊙﹏⊙了...想象力真丰富!) and just bent me over the hood of a radio car.(小Naulty乃是来真的么?!) (lovingly) But no, you were very gentle.
B: (think for a moment) I knew it was your first time. I wanted to make that shit special. (→_→)
M: (like being spoiled)It was man. It fucking was.
